By Train
Indore Railway Station: Well-connected to Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Jaipur. Major trains: Intercity from Bhopal, Mumbai-Indore trains, Rajdhani connections via Bhopal/Ujjain.
Local tip: Tatkal booking for Indore trains confirms fast — it’s a major junction. PNR usually confirms 2-3 days in advance even in peak season. Indore Junction → city center is just 10-minute auto ride.
By Road
NH52 (Bhopal-Indore, ~200 km, ~3 hours) is excellent highway. NH47 (Ahmedabad direction) also good. Pune-Indore via NH48 (~550 km, ~8-9 hours).

- 56 Dukan closes at 10 PM — earlier than most guides suggest. Go before 9 PM.
- Monday = Rajwada closed and Lal Bagh Palace also closed. Check before planning heritage walk on a Monday.
- Vijay Nagar parking on weekends — use mall parking (Phoenix/C21) and walk. Street parking is chaos.
